When it snows in Seattle and roads shut down, sledders and tubers reclaim the streets and turn them into sledding runs.
But K5 TV reporter Meg Coyle is not amused. In her special live report, she notes sledders are not just breaking the law — they aren’t even wearing helmets! My goodness, someone could get hurt!

When I lived in disney urban simulator Portland, I was once told off for not wearing some sort of high visibility REI life jacket. Apparently when granolas slide their outbacks around in the snow they cannot see people in black coats in a totally white environment. On a number of occasions I was mistaken for a homeless person and told to go to a shelter. When it snows in the northwest these people let out their inner southern californian and the land is returned to abandoned SUVs and the very existence of pedestrians becomes a problem.
