But seriously, if a lot more people are out on bikes, and many of them aren’t as familiar with cycling in general and the route they’re taking in particular, I’d expect some extra congestion in bike lanes. Much in the same way that there was lots of added congestion here on the first warm days of spring when all the old people who’d been hibernating through the winter (or at least not driving) took their cars out.
